Welcome to the official website of the Malawi Embassy to the Arab Republic of Egypt in Cairo.
It is an honour and a privilege to serve as Malawi’s Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt and other countries to which this embassy is accredited to on non-residential basis. Malawi and Egypt enjoy strong and growing bilateral relations, which are well-founded in our shared principles and values.
With diplomatic relations established on 26th August, 1964, both countries have enjoyed the fruits of the brotherly ties resultant from well consolidated and solid initiatives to better the lives of their people through various frameworks of initiatives.
Appreciative of what has been achieved so far, my Embassy team and I are determined to work closely with our Egyptian counterparts to further strengthen our partnership and deepen collective relationships of our two peoples through promoting regional and international peace and stability; increasing common trade, investment, tourism and innovation opportunities; and enhancing knowledge sharing through training, arts, culture and any other available avenues.
We hope this website will provide easy access to useful information relative to the Embassy’s Consular services, Trade and Investment, Tourism and much more.
Most importantly, we invite you to visit Malawi to experience the people’s friendliness and warmth and to enjoy the country’s breath-taking beauty; from the 600km long fresh waters of Lake Malawi, to the 3000m high Mulanje Mountain and the scenic various plateaus. Malawi is truly the Warm Heart of Africa!
Lastly, we strongly urge all Malawians living in Egypt to register with the Embassy to enable us to include you in various endeavours, but more importantly, to ensure that we can contact you in the event of an emergency. WE also strongly encourage all Malawians visiting to report to the Embassy of their arrival in Egypt.
